Doe can move beyond chat responses when a request requires investigation or computation. Cloud agents can research the web, review websites, extract structured information, analyze connected data, run calculations in a sandbox, create charts, and save generated files.

Web Research

Doe can search and read current web sources when the request needs up-to-date external information. Use research for:
  • Market maps
  • Competitor pricing
  • Vendor comparisons
  • Policy or regulatory summaries
  • Documentation audits
  • News and cited memos
  • Investment and customer research
Research the current pricing and packaging for these competitors.
Use primary sources where possible, cite every source, and end with a comparison table.

Website Review

When simple search is not enough, Doe can inspect websites more deeply.
CapabilityUse it for
Page reviewRead dynamic pages, screenshots, images, links, and page content
Site discoveryFind relevant pages before deciding what to read
Site crawlReview many related pages, such as docs, pricing pages, or help centers
Structured extractionTurn repeated page information into a consistent table or structured output
Multi-page reviewRead many known URLs in parallel
Examples:
Review this docs site and find pages about enterprise security.
Summarize gaps with URLs.
Extract product names, prices, limits, and plan descriptions from these pricing pages as a table.

Deep Research With Subagents

For broad research, Doe can split work into independent questions and use focused subagents in parallel.
Do a deep research brief on usage-based pricing in B2B SaaS.
Cover market examples, customer objections, pricing metrics, rollout risks, and counterarguments.
Fetch authoritative sources and cite claims.
Deep research works best when you ask for:
  • Sections or sub-questions
  • Source quality expectations
  • Recency requirements
  • A confidence or gaps section
  • A table or report format

Code Sandboxes

Doe can use code sandboxes for analysis and artifact generation. This is useful when a request needs repeatable calculations, data cleaning, charts, or file creation. Use code sandboxes for:
  • CSV and Excel analysis
  • Data cleaning
  • Statistical checks
  • Forecasting
  • Charts and images
  • Generated CSV, XLSX, or report files
  • Cross-checking spreadsheet totals
Profile @customers.csv, identify missing data, chart retention by cohort, and save a cleaned CSV.
Check this spreadsheet's formulas and create a chart of monthly variance.
Generated artifacts can be saved back to the conversation or Library so you can open, download, share, and reuse them.

Database Analysis

When database integrations are connected, Doe can inspect available data and run analysis without changing the database. Supported workflows include:
  • Finding available tables and fields
  • Answering reporting questions from connected data
  • Summarizing large results
  • Combining database results with charts or spreadsheet outputs
  • Creating clean exports for review
Use the revenue database to find last month's top 20 accounts by revenue.
Validate the totals and create a spreadsheet summary.

Large Results and Prior Work

When results are large, Doe can inspect the most relevant parts instead of losing detail. Agents can also reference prior sessions when you mention earlier work or ask for something from a previous conversation.

Best Practices

  • Be explicit about sources, output format, and validation for research, database, or analysis-heavy requests.
  • Ask for citations and confidence levels when using web sources.
  • Ask for validation when results depend on calculations.
  • Tell Doe what output should be saved as a file.
  • For external actions, say whether Doe should draft only or proceed.
