Doe gave me a wrong answer:
- Rephrase your question with more specifics. Add time ranges, filters, or context.
- Check your data. Ask “How did you calculate that?” to see Doe’s methodology.
- Provide corrections. Say “That’s not quite right. [Explain what you expected]” and Doe will try again.
- Ground the response. Say “Based ONLY on the data in this file” to prevent assumptions.
Doe doesn’t understand my question:
- Be more specific. Instead of “How are we doing?”, try “Show me Q3 2024 sales vs Q3 2023”.
- Use simple language. Avoid jargon or acronyms without defining them first.
- Break it down. Ask one thing at a time instead of multiple questions at once.
- Show an example. “Format the results like this: [example]”
Results look wrong:
- Sanity check the numbers. Do they make sense given what you know?
- Ask for the methodology. “How did you calculate this?”
- Check for data issues. “Are there any problems with this dataset?”
- Try a different approach. Rephrase your question with different filters or constraints.
Doe seems confused:
- You’re in a long conversation. Start a new chat for a fresh context.
- You changed topics mid-conversation. Say “Let’s start fresh. Ignore previous context.”
- You’re building on a mistake. Go back and correct the earlier error before continuing.
- Reset explicitly. “Start over with this question: [new question]“
Integration Troubleshooting
Doe can’t find my data:
- Check your connection. Go to Settings → Connectors. Look for warnings or expired connections.
- Reconnect the service. Click Disconnect, then Connect again. Re-authorize access.
- Verify permissions. You can only access data you have permissions for (e.g., your own Gmail, not the whole org).
- Name your files clearly. If you uploaded multiple files, use @mentions to specify which one.
Connection failed - OAuth error:
- Ensure you have admin permissions for the service
- Check that popup blockers didn’t prevent authorization
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
- Try a different browser
No data returned:
- Verify the service has data matching your query
- Check connection status in Settings → Connectors
- Ensure you have access to the requested data
- Try a simpler query to test the connection
API key connection issues:
- Verify API key is still valid in the service’s dashboard
- Check you provided all required fields (project ID, URL, etc.)
- Ensure API key has read permissions
- Regenerate the API key if necessary
Integration connection expired:
- OAuth tokens expire after 30-90 days depending on the service
- Go to Settings → Connectors → Find the service → Click Reconnect → Re-authorize
- Some services send renewal reminders. Enable those notifications.
This is taking too long:
- Expected timing: Simple queries (5-15 seconds), multi-source queries (30-60 seconds), complex analysis (1-3 minutes)
- Large files (over 20 MB) take longer to process
- First-time use of an integration needs setup time
- Watch the activity panel to see what Doe is doing
- Click Stop if it seems stuck, then rephrase
File won’t upload:
- Check file size. Files must be under 50 MB.
- Check file format. Supported: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, TXT, PNG, JPG.
- Try a different browser. Some browsers have stricter upload limits.
- Split large files. For files over 50 MB, split into smaller chunks.
Activity panel shows an error:
- Doe usually recovers. Check the final answer first before worrying about errors.
- If the answer seems incomplete, mention what’s missing and Doe will try again.
- For integration errors, check Settings → Connectors for connection issues.
- For code errors, tell Doe what columns or data your file actually has.
Access & Account
Can’t access features:
- Check your role. Members have limited access vs Admins. Go to Settings → Team to see your role.
- Check organization settings. Some features require admin approval or specific plans.
- Upgrade your plan. Some features are only available on Pro or Enterprise.
Can’t share a chat:
- Check permissions. Only Admins and Managers can share chats organization-wide.
- Check recipient access. Recipients need access to the underlying data sources.
- Check sharing settings. Your org may restrict external sharing.
Email notifications not working:
- Check notification settings. Go to Settings → Notifications. Ensure emails are enabled.
- Check your email address. Verify it’s correct in Settings → Profile.
- Check spam/junk folders. Add [email protected] to your whitelist.
- Test with a different email. Try updating to a different email address.
Chat history disappeared:
- Check if you’re in the right account. Log out and log back in to verify.
- Check if chat was archived. Look in the archived chats section.
- Check if someone deleted it. Admins can delete organization chats.
- Contact support if you can’t find important chats: [email protected]
